Bringing Awareness to Mental Health Through Fashion and Entertainment “Stepping Back Into the Fiftie
San Bernardino, CA – Linda Hart founder of The African American Health Coalition and LuCretia Dowdy founder of LUE Productions Community Umbrella Services proudly present “Stepping Back Into the Fifties: A Fashion Show and Luncheon” — a one-of-a-kind event blending fashion, entertainment, and advocacy to raise awareness about mental health and the unique challenges faced by women over 50.

Location: The Premier Event Hall, 320 North E. Street, San Bernardino, CA
This uplifting community gathering will spotlight incredible African American women as they strut the runway in vintage 1950s fashion. The event aims to create a supportive platform to discuss mental health, uplift mature women, and raise funds for two vital community organizations.

MORE about LuCretia Dowdy aka Lue Founder and CEO
Full BIO:
Lucretia Dowdy, a dynamic community activist and seasoned entertainment & public relations professional, calls San Bernardino, California her home. In her role as Community Specialist at First 5 San Bernardino, she orchestrates early education and family support programs, enriching the growth of children aged 0 to 5 and their families throughout San Bernardino County. Her spirited impact with the organization earned her the prestigious Award for Excellence from the County of San Bernardino in 2013.
Renowned as a weekly columnist for West Side Story Newspaper's "What It Do With Lue" and the Founder of LUE Productions, Lucretia is a driving force in showcasing emerging talent and artists in the Inland Empire. LUE Productions, her brainchild, specializes in events, media, and management, boasting a diverse portfolio that includes the annual My Music, My Mic Awards show, body-positive BBW Model Competitions, Show It Off! Youth Competitions, and various platforms empowering artists to thrive in the entertainment industry.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Lucretia coordinates annual initiatives within the Inland Empire to alleviate homelessness and advocates against violence and child abuse.
In 2020, Lucretia Dowdy assumed the role of Vice President for the Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce Inland Cities East Chapter, driving initiatives to empower local businesses and foster economic growth in the region. Recognizing her leadership and vision, she was subsequently appointed President in 2021, guiding the chapter towards inclusive prosperity and community advancement.
Additionally, Lucretia has established "Minding My Mental Fitness," a platform for women of all ages to decompress and engage in workouts, promoting the holistic health and wellbeing of women in a supportive environment.
Her contributions have been widely recognized, including honors such as the Entrepreneurship Recognition from the Southern California Black Chamber of Commerce in 2018, the Humanitarian Award from The Black Rose Foundation in 2019, the Award of Excellence from the County of San Bernardino in 2023, and acknowledgment from YWE Young Women’s Empowerment for her outstanding community service in 2024.
